FBB Stockists: Wigtown Festival Shop

Our very first stockist, the Wigtown Festival Shop at Number 11 North Main Street stocks Farm Boy Brews coffee alongside a fantastic selection of books, gifts and other local producers!

Bibliophiles out there will know that Wigtown is actually Scotland’s national book town, and hosts an annual book festival (although 2020’s festival had to take place online for pandemic-related reasons). It’s one of our favourite places to make a delivery, and it’s the perfect excuse for us to support our local bookshop as well – every time we deliver coffee, we usually come away with a book or two.

Not only was No. 11 our first stockist, but our first ever Dumfries and Galloway event was in Wigtown too, at the Winter Kist. We had hoped to be at more events in 2020, including the weekly Wigtown market, the Spring and Autumn Kists, and even the book festival itself, but Covid had other ideas. Hopefully it won’t be too long before all our events are back up and running in person, but for the moment the online versions will have to do.

We took part in the virtual Spring Kist earlier in the year, and will be part of the Winter Kist in December 2020, so watch this space for dates, offers, and exclusive discount codes.

The online bookshop, which was launched properly this year, stocks all the titles for the 2020 Wigtown Book Festival, and they can order in any books that they don’t have in stock either – the perfect opportunity to support your local book shop!

From our first drop of Depresso Espresso, the support from the team at the Festival Bookshop has been fantastic! We love hearing about the different people who have bought and chatted about our coffee whilst in the shop too, and where it ends up. If you’re in Wigtown, we’d definitely recommend popping in, especially if you’ve got someone to buy a gift for.

If you’re after a cup of coffee or a slice of cake whilst you’re in Wigtown, we’d recommend Reading Lasses – the perfect combination of cafĂ© and second hand bookshop. It’s got a brilliant menu, especially if you’re after a lovely place to sit and enjoy a relaxed lunch, and their cake selection is fantastic. They don’t serve Farm Boy Brews coffee though… yet!
